a girl and her cat (and some cameras)

I like taking pictures and have wasted many hours cooing at my cat.

I make video games and websites for a living and enjoy live music, photography, roadtrips, Helvetica Neue, and good folks to talk to. I waste my time playing Pokemon. You wish you were as cool as me.

Stocking Stuffed: Adding Five Games and Soundtracks From Humble Indie Bundle 3!

humblebundle:

Humble Indie Bundle 4 just keeps on growing! If you’ve already purchased Humble Indie Bundle 4, check your bundle download page for new goodies to download or redeem on Steam: VVVVVV, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, And Yet It Moves, and Hammerfight, and the soundtrack to each game!

And for the remaining 7 days of Humble Indie Bundle 4, customers who set a price higher than the average will receive a stocking-busting twelve games and twelve soundtracks: Super Meat Boy, Shank, Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, NightSky, Gratuitous Space Battles, Cave Story+, VVVVVV, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, And Yet It Moves, and Hammerfight — all while helping support the American Red Cross and the Child’s Play Charity!

Need a refresher? Here’s the skinny on the bundle-in-a-bundle games:

VVVVVV

In the critically acclaimed, 2D, retro-platformer VVVVVV, you play as a space ship captain marooned in an alternate dimension. Using only the ability to reverse gravity, you must traverse the floors, ceilings, and everything-in-betweens of eight dangerous environments in order to rescue your lost crewmembers.

Crayon Physics Deluxe

Crayon Physics Deluxe is a physics-based puzzle game that won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize at the 2008 Independent Games Festival. In Crayon Physics Deluxe, your doodles and drawings transform into objects you can use to push, pull, slide, shield, and catapult the ball towards the goal in more than 70 distinct levels.

Cogs

Cogs is a much-lauded 3D puzzle game that gives the player mechanical structures that need to be fixed in order to function properly. The puzzles involve creating the right arrangement of gears, pipes, and other Victorian-esque technologies in order to strike bells, turn propellers, and channel steam.

And Yet It Moves

And Yet It Moves is a stylized, 2D platform puzzler where players control the orientation of the whole environment in addition to the traditional movement of the protagonist. With a tap of a button, the world rotates 90 or 180 degrees around the character, creating platforms out of chasms and cliffs out of flatlands.

Hammerfight

Hammerfight features 2D, aerial steampunk combat with a unique and visceral control mechanism. Players control airships with attached hammers and swords, and to attack, players “swing” their weapons by sliding their computer mice in circular, sweeping motions. Throughout the gripping solo campaign, players will unlock various ship types and weapons to aid the last surviving member of a tribe in an epic quest for justice.

If you haven’t picked up Humble Indie Bundle 4 yet, there are only seven days left to get these cross-platform, DRM-free, Steam-redeemable games while supporting excellent non-profits! (And if you’re already a happy customer, consider buying a gift key for friends and family, and celebrate the holidays together with a truckload of sweet indie games!)

Guys, I literally cannot think of a reason to not buy this bundle of games, either for yourself or someone you know. If you can spare more than $5.18 (the current average), you’ll get SO MANY excellent, indie, cross-platform games.

PS, My old art lead works on the Bit.Trip series! More reason to support it? :)

So I went to San Francisco, and then I ate a lot of food while failing to take pictures of most of it. :D;

CC, LK, and NM! There was also RC but I didn’t get a picture of her… I hadn’t seen CC until this day in almost 4 years!

We went to Traif again. Damn, I love beets.

Colors are weirdly muted in these. I need to go back and fix them. :\

My dear friends N2. I am an honorary N, so we are Team N3!

I know, it’s been a while, but life is super busy. I have a giant backlog of photos to go through.

I’ve now been to Traif twice with @nickelmu. We’re at 2 out of 2 of “I love everything we ordered; is it too soon to go again?”

Okay, the focus was totally borked in this shot, but I love it anyway. :( Look! William hugging Travie! With bonus Vicky-T!

From last night’s FBR15 show at Terminal 5.
